Kaiya in the Treetops
Description: *Edit: The download version is now fixed. Sorry about that!*

Here she is, with a name! I hope nobody's too disappointed by the choice (though I haven't decided yet on whether it should be K-EYE-uh or K-AY-uh). (prounounced K-EYE-uh).

This image makes use of just about every trick I know so far, including a few new ones like the depth of field effect.

This one was a huge time sink so I hope that the effort paid off! BTW, this is one that I really, really recommend the hi-res download version.

Thanks for looking and for your comments!

I think the time spent has paid off, it's a dammed fine image. I really like the character, the name you chose for her, and the tree house you found for her as well! That said, I have some suggestions you may want to consider:

1.The next time you render this tree house thingy try going to the properties window and shutting off the "smooth polygons" box for it (assuming it's a single prop). Some parts of it (like the large cut branch to the right of her head) are looking a little bloated in a way that trees don't normally look.

2.As some on rendo have pointed out to me as well, DoF has a much better effect when there's objects in the foreground to blur up. Perhaps a stray trunk or some shrubbery in future renders might help with that.

3.While this is a mater of personal preference, it might help to darken the wood of this tree-house thing a bit as well as the background-sky in order to make the character look brighter by comparison, and thus help focus the viewer's eye on her. I found myself drifting to the light wooden wall to the left of her. Then again, maybe that's just me.

Despite that, let me underscore that overall I really do like this one, and I hope to see more (of her especially)

Without knowing much of the technical points that Chimera mentioned (as I am no 3D artist), I can see what he means about the eye being distracted by the lighter wooden wall on the left of the image. It isn't a great deal as I can still comfortably focus on her but a subtle darkening of it may help, not just to focus attention on her but to cover the textured polygon wall look that it has. There isn't probably a great deal you can do to avoid that and you only really notice it at the bottom of the wall (where it looks bright and at a sharp angle while the surrounding wood looks unattached due to the darker shade) but a darker shade would help, I think.

All that aside, she looks fantastic and the problem with the unsupported arrow doesn't feature here due to the different positioning. Her outfit, I have to say, is very hot and it shows off her sexily shaped body. The whole high-cut thong and skirt ensemble is very erotic. I also like her white tattoo which goes well with her hair. Her expression is good too.

very sexy

that's a very nice pic of Kaiya. I just have one comment. It may be just me, but her thighs look a little on the big side. Once again, it may just be me. Overall great pic. Very sexy.

Thighs

Kaiya's got a more muscular build than the rest of my girls, since she's a warrior.
