No Ordinary Rocket Girl - Define Sexy, Max
Description: This is how Max defines sexy.

I tried and tried validate why Max would wear something like this, but I just couldn't come up with anything in the end. I guess it amounts to a sexy evening dress in her world. So for the moment, this doesn't officially fit into the "Rocket Girls" series. Unless someone can convince me otherwise! ;)

I'm not kissing butt or anything here but I think once again, that you have done a good job. I cannot tell what your overall theme is for the Rocket Girls series (girls with rockets, maybe? :-p ) but I have pictured her from the Fallout RPG/Mad Max setting, after seeing her previous images.

Long after nuclear devastation, with the scattered remnants of civilisation struggling to survive in a hostile environment and against often hostile outsiders, there wouldn't be much in the way of fine clothing. Anything expensive that was still around would have been patched together with other things to make an outfit. I think you have managed that. The whole outfit still looks tribal, yet with the fabrics around her waist, it looks as if it was once part of a proper dress.

Her tribal village could be having some sort of party (you don't have to be fighting raiders, mutants or radscorpions everyday) and it has given Max a reason to change from cobbled together armour and other clothing, into something considered more feminine and sophisticated.

So I think you have done a great job and I hope I have convinced you. ;-) If you need further convincing, check out the Fallout RPGs on the PC.

Thanks!

Thanks, SW. Max & Callia's world most definitely is of the post-apocalyptic type. What you've laid out is a good plausibility for the reasons for the clothing. :) Those are certainly some very good ideas. :) I've never played the Fallout games myself but always hear great things about them.

A little background and some other points...

Fallout 2 is in my opinion the better of the two RPGs in the franchise as it is a much larger game, has lots more to do in terms of side-quests, character development and equipment. However, Fallout 1 is important as it sets the whole storyline and the near-mysticism of the Vaults (massive high-tech nuclear bunkers).

Your picture of Max here reminded me of the various tribal villages that you can visit (or start off in, in Fallout 2). Technology and luxuries would be scarce and would be down to what was found, bartered for or what was handed down from others. Weapons and armour would vary in sophistication from basic melee weapons and leather armour, to steel armour and projectile weapons, and then up to rare energy weapons and high-tech armour. In Callia's case, she could have struck gold and found them in a deserted military base or received them from a high-tech group of people (her tribal tattoos would suggest that she didn't have them all along).

Just a suggestion here and that is if you have the 3D models available, how about arming Max with lower tech weapons when making images of her with weapons and armour? In Fallout, for much of the game and the general population (or at least the ones that could carry them), pistols, SMGs, shotguns and rifles were the most common guns. These were either built before the nukes landed or are crude versions made afterwards. Energy weapons and other high-tech guns would be much rarer and harder to get hold of unless you were in the right circle of people or had enough to barter for. By kitting out Max (or maybe even Callia) with such equipment, it would give those images a more post-nuclear dark age feel.

Again, it is purely just a suggestion. As mentioned in another post for one of Max's images, they are your creations at the end of the day and I have loved all of your work since day one. :-D

Wonderful

Just recently got this hp and I noticed that what I saw wasn't just a image, it's making art, it's very lovely that you have done, quite speachless of this picture. Hven't really checked all the others yet, but so far this is one of my favourite.

Cheers!

OMG

Her face looks very very close to Jessica Alba, unlike a few renderings I've seen in 3D before. She's absolutely beautiful.Too bad there's never been a movie with her hair being longer.

You win many, many internet awards for this, In my humble opinion.

Good job

You know, you guys should take some of these renderings and make a little mini-series with them. Get some people to voice act for the characters or something. That would be wicked.
