Something Wicked This Way Comes!
Something Wicked This Way Comes!

Something Wicked This Way Comes!
Description: I wouldn't want to spend my Halloween with this Nightsister Force Witch of Dathomir and her pet rancor. It looks like she's not too happy to see you either!

Technical Notes: This render took Poser 21 hours to run due to the volumetric lighting. Because of that the depth of field had to be done in postwork (using the same technique as in Kaiya In The Treetops and Daru's Nabooian Sunset). The tattoos are courtesy of my newfound Photoshop pen tool "skills". The first step towards Darth Talon has been taken. Hopefully, I'll eventually be able to render her.

Lighting

I feel your pain, and there are few things I hate more than waiting a day or so for a render with volumetric lighting to finish and just to find out there's some mistake or that I should have used different settings. In any event I think it came out great here.

AAAAHHHHH!!!

Don't let her eat me! This is pretty good. I must say I like the lighting and the picture looks very very real.

She's probably a really nice person once you get to know her. :-p

I'm not familiar with the Force Witches as I haven't read that many of the Extended Universe books or comics. Therefore it is unfortunately harder for me to appreciate the picture in regards to subject matter. What I can appreciate is the artistic work and I think this looks splendid. Very nice colours and detail throughout. The landscape is very good, looking eerie, murky and closed in. That is also one excellent Rancor model (which I have seen previously with Chimera's tribute). Very vicious looking, even if this one is smaller or one that hasn't achieved full adulthood yet.

@Rinna

Indeed. I'm practicing these things to open up a wide range of new options. Zabrak's included. :)

OOOOOOOO!!!!

Maybe do some Zeltrons. Some Star Wars sites say that Zeltrons were more... appealing than Twi'leks...
